Posted: October 24, 1989
On Wednesday, October 25 the Fairmount Park Art Association will explore the siting of a “mock-up” of Henry Moore’s “Three Way Piece Number 1: Points” at various locations along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway and in Fairmount Park.
The Fairmount Park Art Association has commissioned “Bolt of Lightning…A Memorial to Benjamin Franklin,” a public sculpture created by the distinguished artist Isamu Noguchi.
Live animals – turtles, toads, and ducks – will be on site, inspired by the sculptures within the fountain. There will also be animal sculpture demonstrations, sculpture-making workshops for kids, and free ice cream from Culture Republick.
