Major Grant from the William Penn Foundation Supports a Parkway-wide Public Art Installation; More than a Year of Activities Mark the Milestone
The Fairmount Park Art Association announces the receipt of a Getty Foundation grant of $78,200 for treatment and research related to the conservation and reinstallation of “Atmosphere and Environment XII” by eminent artist Louise Nevelson.
Live animals – turtles, toads, and ducks – will be on site, inspired by the sculptures within the fountain. There will also be animal sculpture demonstrations, sculpture-making workshops for kids, and free ice cream from Culture Republick.
